What Jiu-Jitsu Does for Your Child
Structured warm-ups, bowing in, waiting their turn are all ways through which BJJ teaches kids how to follow direction, stay focused, and show respect to others.
From mastering a martial arts technique to earning their first stripe, kids gain real confidence through small wins — on and off the mats.
Many parents report improvements in focus, patience, and behavior at school thanks to BJJ’s mental training.
We teach kids how to use martial arts to handle confrontation with confidence: verbally, emotionally, and physically.

Real Stories from Our Kids Martial Arts Families
“I highly recommend this martial arts school. My three-year-old son has been attending for two months and absolutely loves it. Professor Louis-Philippe is patient, friendly, calm, and appropriately demanding, helping children learn through play and discipline. My son is now more confident, attentive, and disciplined. Even our one-year-old daughter loves watching the classes. The gym is clean, accessible, and offers free parking.”
“I am extremely satisfied with the Jiu-Jitsu school I enrolled my 5-year-old son in. The passionate instructor is very professional and attentive, and he knows how to make learning fun while teaching important values such as respect and discipline. My son loves going there! Clean, easy to access, and free parking!”
“An exceptional school for children! I am extremely satisfied with Renzo Gracie Laval. The coaching is professional, respectful, and motivating. The instructors know how to convey the right values through jiu-jitsu: discipline, self-confidence, respect, and perseverance. My child loves every session and progresses quickly, both physically and mentally. The atmosphere is welcoming, safe, and very well structured. I highly recommend all parents to enroll their children. It's an incredible investment in their personal development and well-being.”
“I joined this gym at my lowest point—over 300 lbs, newly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, and no self-confidence. From day one, Professor Glen and the team welcomed me in, pushed me, and supported me. Every class gave me back a piece of myself. My confidence is up, my weight is going down, and I’ve found a true community. If I can do this, anyone can. Don’t be scared—this place will change your life.”
